Chorus Box Day: Art, Learning, and Community Spirit

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent community art project—the painting of the Chorus box in beautiful Rarangi!

This exciting journey began with brainstorming and planning sessions, where our tamariki came up with creative ideas and sketched out their visions. Several of these wonderful drafts were carefully selected, and we submitted our proposal to the council. We were delighted to be chosen to bring our designs to life on the Rarangi Chorus box!

On Friday, 16th May, our tamariki had an unforgettable day, painting alongside the talented local artist Caroline della Porta. Under Caroline’s expert guidance, our young artists were introduced to new techniques and encouraged to express their creativity with confidence. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and artistic wisdom made a huge impact, turning the day into a vibrant and educational experience for everyone involved.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to Whaea Marion, whose unwavering dedication and leadership carried this project from the initial spark of an idea through to its colourful completion. Her support and encouragement were essential in ensuring everything ran smoothly and joyfully.

The weather was perfect, adding to the positive atmosphere and making the experience even more memorable. Our tamariki not only developed their artistic skills but also created lasting memories while contributing to a meaningful community artwork.
